Black Cast Iron Hermes Door Knocker. Hermes is a very apt symbol for your front door as he was patron of travellers as well as being a god of transitions and boundaries. Cast from an original Victorian pattern from the celebrated Kenrick foundry. Cast iron with a durable black paint finish. With its traditional look, this knocker is perfect for beautiful front doors and restoration projects. The rapper hinges behind Hermes' winged helmet and strikes on the separate striking plate. Dimensions: 275mm (10.8") high by 65mm (2.6") wide and stands 65mm (2.6") out from the door. The striking plate is 55mm (2.2") in diameter. Two fixing bolts are supplied which go through the door and screw into the rear of the knocker and striking plate. Also available on Amazon in brass.
